The cleanse is a 7-10 day, real food-based cleanse that deeply detoxes, resets the system, eliminates cravings, reduces inflammation, and jumpstarts significant weight loss and healthy long-term habits.
You will be cooking and adding in two key detoxifying products, a protein powder and supplement.
The cleanse is a practice in:
taking responsibility for what we eat for a week
taking a break from certain food groups (not from food in general)
cutting processed, addictive convenience foods
discovering how easy it is to make food at home
discovering how delicious home-cooked food is
What is it NOT?
It is not a gimmicky, branded, packaged cleanse with astronaut food. You will not go hungry; “cleanse” isn’t synonymous with deprivation. You will make real food from simple ingredients that taste good. You can eat as much of the approved foods each day as you want, as long as you get in the required shakes and supplements.
What sets the cleanse apart?
You are not starving.
After the week is over, you will have less cravings, not more. Rather than yearning for a pan of brownies, you will be excited to eat more fresh, real, healthy food. Simple pleasures like berries, nuts, eggs, and quality protein will be thrilling (this is my favorite part and what often motivates me to do it the most).
You will learn healthy habits, cooking skills and recipes to use after the cleanse. Unlike other programs that provide pre-portioned/packaged meals but leave you without any tools to stay healthy after, this cleanse provides a framework for applying everything you learned to the rest of your life. If nothing else, discovering how easy it is to make food at home is a gift that is incredibly satisfying and rewarding.
What is required from you?
You need to pick 1 week to cleanse where you have no travel, meals out, or limiting social commitments. During the cleanse, you will be cooking and supplementing with shakes. The guidelines are specific, structured, and come with very clear instructions for exactly what to cook and when. You will also receive daily and ongoing support from me via email.
Give yourself ample time in the days leading up to the cleanse to grocery shop, pick some recipes that sound good to you, and make sure you have any additional supplements you may need and basic kitchen tools/containers.
Why 7 or 10 days?
The full 10 days allows for a slower reintroduction of foods which is helpful for determining food sensitivities, but it is not required.
How will it work?
After signing up and selecting your week, I will order your protein powder and supplements, and you will receive the following documents:
Day-by-Day Guidelines & Menus — instructions for each day, a daily checklist to stay on track and sample menus for the week
Foods List — what to eat and what not to eat
Recipes — 21 pages, color-coded according to which ingredients are allowed during each phase
Prep & Tips — an exhaustive list of supportive recommendations including supplements, kitchen tools, to-do lists, troubleshooting, FAQs, and more
Foundational Shopping List — my non-negotiables for a successful cleanse
How will I be supported?
Beginning after sign-up and continuing for every day of the cleanse, you will receive daily emails from me to prepare you for the day ahead, provide reminders, troubleshooting tips and answer any questions. These are comprehensive. I aim to address any and all concerns you have before they come up.
The documents above are highly detailed, allowing you to plan, customize, and create your cleanse with ease. Don’t worry if you’re a novice cook. “Prep and Tips” includes supplement recommendations, kitchen tips and hacks, food storage and tool recommendations, and much more so that you are as prepared as possible for a successful week.
I am always available for extra support if needed—we are in this together.
When can I start?
I am offering the cleanse on your schedule, so you pick your start date! Please allow a buffer of 7 days after signing up and before your chosen start date for the cleanse products to be delivered. Expedited shipping is offered for an additional cost (not needed if local to NYC). If you have questions, concerns, or issues with scheduling, please don’t hesitate to reach out to me directly.

“I chose to participate in Sarah’s cleanse because I really wasn’t sure that I’d be able to do it and I was itching for a challenge in the new year. While I know intellectually that food is medicine, it is also a huge source of emotional comfort for me, and I have always struggled with controlling my impulses and with getting into a routine of planning ahead so that I’m equipped with healthy foods to opt for when cravings hit. I can’t remember a time in my life that I’ve spent an entire week being so intentional with the way I was treating my body and mind. I was so attuned to what my body needed in a really eye-opening way, and I’ve come away from the cleanse with a bunch of new tools in my belt. Sarah’s cleanse is unique in that it allows for so much flexibility and it feels like the opposite of a crash diet or off-the-shelf cleanse. I did not feel hungry; I was eating three full meals, a couple of snacks, and two shakes a day. I was cooking my own meals and feeling really creative with how I was preparing them, which was a lot of fun for me. Sarah offers a lot of information about the ways in which our body detoxes, and I learned a ton about the role food plays in that process. She was super supportive and engaged the entire week, and that really motivated me to push through the tough bits. I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how many tools and insights I’ve kept with me post-cleanse, and look forward to doing it again in the spring/summer!” - Ali B.
“Sarah's fresh food cleanse is such a breath of fresh air and truly a world away from your typical powder-based mass-marketed cleanse! I have done the Kroma Wellness Reset as well as Prolon several times, and struggled a lot with hunger during both. What makes Sarah's cleanse different is—1) instead of limiting how much food you can have, you instead focus on the quality of food you are eating. 2) you learn how to prepare foods, read labels, and generally be more thoughtful when cooking. 3) you get so much satisfaction / mental clarity / energy from eliminating added sugar / caffeine from your diet! It's nice to now have recipes that I can use outside the cleanse, as well. That is very different from powder-based cleanses, which include powder soups / smoothies that are hard to get down during the cleanse and not something you would ever eat outside of a cleanse.” - E.G., 29
“This Cleanse has been a transformative experience for me. It not only helped me develop healthier eating habits but also gave me a new perspective on food… I’ve gained a deeper understanding of how to fuel my body with nutritious, whole foods without feeling restricted. I now feel more energized, clear-headed, and in control of my choices. Sarah's approach is both supportive and empowering, making healthy living feel sustainable and approachable. I highly recommend this Cleanse to anyone looking to reset their habits and build a better relationship with food!” - India T., 30
“Sarah's cleanse is such a fabulous way to reset your system and become aware of habits and cravings that you may not realize are so ingrained in our routines. It was a challenge, but I was so proud of myself by the end for kicking some of my habits (coffee!!) and feeling energized and productive with just the nourishment of the foods we were eating. Sarah is super supportive throughout the process, sharing tips, tricks, and recipes, and checking in daily, and she was available for any questions or concerns throughout.” - Kira K.
“Sarah, thank you for guiding us through your recent 10-day cleanse! I feel lighter, less inflamed, clear-headed and focused. I couldn’t be more pleased! Your end-of-day emails with encouragement and motivation for the next day were so helpful. Even though the cleanse was offered remote, I felt your presence and support throughout. The prep materials and tips were also key, along with all recipes. These motivated me to stay with it when the going got tough. I was originally planning on a 7-day cleanse, but I felt so good I continued to complete the 10 days. I’m still off coffee, dairy, sugar and wheat now at day 12. I look forward to doing one of your cleanses twice a year to give my body opportunities to rest, clear toxins and heal, lose extra weight, and break negative habits that creep in.” - Lisa M.
“As someone who'd thought that a serious cleanse would be painful and without immediate benefit, I was shocked that Sarah's cleanse was simple to follow, very educational, much easier than I'd ever imagined, and resulted in feeling me better and clearer almost right away. I actually felt better the longer it went… I loved this experience.” - Craig M.
“I loved the cleanse, I think it’s a great way to learn and do a challenge. Also it allows you to slow down.” - Kevin S.
“I was skeptical about doing a cleanse with my husband. But with Sarah's guidance and support I learned a lot about myself and who I can eat cleaner and healthier in my everyday life.” - Kathleen G.
“I consider Sarah's cleanse to be a vital, seasonal component to my health and well-being. As a regular meditator I do 3 retreats a year to tend to my consciousness. Why shouldn't I choose 3 cleanses as a way to tend to my physical/emotional wellbeing as well? Sarah has created a seamless structure that allows me to maintain physical balance with reduced inflammation, puffiness, weight and toxins. As I'm cleansing, I focus on more exercise, meditation, journal writing, time for myself. My mental clarity sharpens, sleep is deeper and my nervous system relaxes. It's also very reasonably priced. Thank you, Sarah.”
